Marina Atallah is a Brazilian born photographer that  started photographing at the age of 14 with her 35 mm Nikon camera and, since then,  has built a published body of work that is provocative and extremely captivating. She believes that she can communicate better with her still images because a photo is a powerful way to freeze time and allow the beauty and horror of what we face sink into our souls in a peaceful way, allowing reflection. Marina came a long way from photographing street life in São Paulo with a focus in soccer fans in the 90s to commercial campaigns in New York, and she has documented every step of the way.

She is also a board member of @feitoformiguinhas, a Brazilian NGO that fights hunger and finds solutions for the most vulnerable population in São Paulo and a proud member of New York Cares.
